The Royal Academy of Music seeks to appoint a part-time Trumpet professor to give one-to-one trumpet tuition to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. The role usually consists of principal study one-to-one teaching in the Brass department, preparing students for Academy projects and professional engagements with possible opportunities to take classes, coach chamber music and to develop other brass activities within the Academy.

You will have a recognised profile as an international performer with a thorough knowledge of a wide-range of repertoire and brass performing traditions. You will be able to advise, mentor and support students in managing their career aspirations and developing their professionalism, along with previous experience of teaching in a conservatoire environment. You will possess technical expertise and excellent communication skills. You will also need to be flexible, practical, collaborative and well organised.
